The 8FS-2SS vandal-proof drinking fountain is designed to withstand the wear and tear of high-traffic areas in schools, colleges and universities. It is the only vandal-proof drinking fountain available in the UK that features indestructible bottle-filling taps.
For added safety and security the drinking fountain is fixed to the wall with concealed bolts and reinforced security brackets making it impossible to dislodge after fitting.
The bottle-filling taps are made from chrome-plated, high-tensile steel and are virtually indestructible. The tap is operated by placing a bottle against the flow button which gives a steady accurate stream of water, the 8FS-2SS is fitted with a second tap to help ease queuing at break times.
The unit utilises an energy-efficient compressor that uses just 370w to deliver 42 litres of chilled water per hour. The 8FS-2SS is also certified to NSF/ANSI 61 standards and is designed to be easily accessible to physically challenged individuals complying fully with the Disabilities Act (Disabled Discrimination Act in the UK) the push bar actuation mechanism is self-closing, the bars feature raised lettering to assist for the visually impaired, it also meets the stringent requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act.
Another feature of this machine is an automatic stream height regulator self-closing assembly which resists corrosion and limescale; this is fitted inside the casing to prevent tampering and will ensure a steady jet of water even if a building is subject to high-pressure spikes ranging from 20 to 105 psi.
Once supplied as an option but now fitted as standard is the easy clean in-line strainer which traps and removes particles of 140 microns or larger prior to then entering the waterway, a range of optional filters are also available which will remove toxins, heavy metals, pesticides, odour and bad taste from the water supply.
