MIW Supplies Outdoor Drinking Fountain to British Gurkhas in Nepal

British Gurkhas training for combatMIW the UK’s leading water cooler experts are proud to have been chosen to supply one of Halsey Taylor’s Endura 4430BF outdoor drinkingfountains to the Brigade of Gurkhas currently located in Nepal. We worked with staff from the ministry of Defence in Oxon, and have shipped the weather resistant outdoor drinking fountain to the British Forces Post office in Northolt, ready for its shipment across Europe and into Nepal.

The Gurkhas are a unit of the British Army, made up of nearly 3,500 Nepalese soldiers. As part of the British Army, they have barracks both in Nepal and here in the United Kingdom. The Gurkhas are well known for their bravery in battle and the characteristic curved swords which they carry at all times.

Outdoor Drinking fountain for British GurkhasNepal is currently enjoying weather of around 22 degrees, nearly double the temperature of a relatively warm day here in the United Kingdom. The training exercises and drills performed on a regular basis by the unit, in combination with their heavy military apparel, mean that it is not difficult for Gurkhas to work up a sweat in their day to day activities. It is vital to maintain the correct level of hydration in hot weather and during intense exercise, which is why MIW are pleased to supply one of our most efficient and durable drinking fountains which can cope with all Nepal can throw at it including monsoons, snow & sun.

MIW Office Solutions has recently supplied the Ministry of Defence with hot water boilers for their Barracks in the North East, and bases in Germany and are proud to continue delivering high quality products to the British Army’s Gurkha soldiers much further afield in Nepal.
