High Lea Park Gets Freeze Resistant Drinking Fountain

Here at MIW Office Solutions we are pleased to announce the sale of the Halsey Taylor 4881FR freeze resistant outdoor drinking fountain to New Mills Council, making them the United Kingdom’s first council to purchase and install the unit that is so popular with schools and colleges. The sale was arranged with council administrator Deborah Garrett, who worked with their resident parks manager Stephen Lewis.

The new outdoor drinking fountain has been installed in the town’s High Lee Park, a large area of open woodland and landscaped gardens. The drinking fountain is the latest of a number of improvements to have been made at the park, as over the past two years New Mills Council have refurbished the children’s paddling area and replaced the play equipment. These features have made High Lee Park a firm favourite for families and children, but the wide open space also attracts dog walkers and local sport events.

These improvements have meant that more and more people are using High Lea Park, many of which were asking for a drinking fountain. New Mills Council listened to the locals, approachingMIW.co.uk for an outdoor drinking fountain that would eliminate the need for visitors to travel back into town for a drink. Parks manager Stephen Lewis specifically chose the Elkay drinking fountain for its robust and vandal-resistant construction and its frost-proof technology, two ideal features for any outdoor drinking fountain.

The 4881FR Fountain is available to purchase for local parks like High Lee Park, but also courtyards and playgrounds in leisure centres and educational institutions. Visit MIW.co.uk to view
